Retreat Schedule and Policies

General Schedule

We begin in the early evening on the first day with a simple Brotzeit meal at Anna’s home, over which we are introduced to each other and the theme (and quite possibly her kids…and maybe the be-kenneled hounds…).

Fan out to a local lodging spot of your choice for the night, and then return for a delicious breakfast provided by a local fave, the Cedar Coffee Company. Enjoy discussion at Anna’s home until late morning, and then relish a leisurely afternoon along the Shore or by way of a long-overdue nap; your afternoon is entirely yours.

Meet again for a fine dinner of farm-to-table North Shore fare and further evening reflections on the topic of the month, regroup in the morning for one more light breakfast and wrap-up conversation, and then be sent off with an optional short worship service, refreshed, restored, and with much even yet upon which to reflect.

Cost

The retreat itself is $225. Lodging expenses depend upon the locale and season, but comfortably range from $70-$200. The Spent Dandelion studio apartment will be available at a reduced rate ($125 per night) on a first-come basis. Food expenses are also at your discretion: both for shared meals and meals on your own, there will be an array of choices of both cuisine and cost.

Anna does not have a liquor license, but you are welcome to BYOB.

Cancellation Policy

Your card will be charged the full amount at the time of registration, but if you are not utterly pleased after your retreat, you will be refunded part or all of your fee, depending on how you feel on the Utterly Pleased-Utterly Dismayed post-retreat spectrum.

Because plans shape up depending on the number of registrants, and other potential participants can not register if space has filled up, full refunds will only be given up to a month before the event, 50% of the fee will be refunded up to two weeks before the event, and no refunds will be given after two weeks before the event, darn it.

Other Events

When regional calendar events have already been advertised, links to these simultaneous North Shore activities are listed in each monthly retreat: check them out to see a variety of reasons why you should come on up!

Consider even extending your North Shore stay on either end of the retreat for a longer vacation: you might decide you want to extend it permanently!
