SUMMARY:He Is Risen! (So....Now What?)
DESCRIPTION:Years ago\, when we were living in Germany but my sister and her family were in Alaska—with a spread of 13 hours between us—I rang them up on our Easter morning and said\, “He is Risen!” \nMy brother-in-law responded\, “Shh! Don’t tell us! We’re on the edge of our seats!” \nBut now\, fresh off Easter weekend\, we are off of our seats\, and saying Alleluia—in all time zones\, even! \nAnd yet somehow\, at sometime\, we often end up sitting down again\, and sliding comfortably to the back of our chairs too. \nIt seems a good time\, then\, to ask a few Easter-y questions\, ones to mull all year long until next Holy Saturday Eve when we find ourselves eagerly wondering again: What happens next?! \nFor starters\, in an average day-in-the-life\, what does Jesus’ resurrection mean\, anyway? Does it matter if it really happened\, or can we take the resurrection as a matter of faith\, or perhaps the event didn’t really happen but matters anyway? And could it have been anyone who was risen from the dead\, or did it need to be Jesus? \nSoftball\, gimme questions like that. \nChairs are provided for relaxing\, for sitting straight up\, and for jumping out of. \n
